The Large Hadron Collider and 2012

Introduction
The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) sparked a lot of fear and uncertainty in many ordinary people and even scientists when it was said that the LHC would produce micro sized black holes right here on Earth. If the theory of Hawking Radiation is correct, these micro black holes, which are 1000 times smaller than individual protons/neutrons, should evaporate almost instantaneously. But Hawking Radiation is only a theory. What if these black holes were to not evaporate? This how the LHC became connected to 2012 - that by 2012, the LHC will produce a black hole that will consume the earth...

Questions To Be Answered
Let us the assume the worst case scenario: micro black holes are produced, and do no evaporate. Will the earth be consumed, like shown in the video above? Just how exactly will the micro black holes interact with individual atoms? Will these black holes even interact with individual atoms, since matter itself is mostly empty space?
